Where Do We Dump 11 Million Tons of Toxic Sewage Solids?

Free Recipe:
Base:
1 ounce Coconut oil (any solid oil can be used)
10 ounces Sunflower oil (any liquid oil can be used)
14 ounces Distilled water (to be sure your lotion stays free of impurities)
1 ounce Beeswax
1 teaspoon Borax

Heat the oils and beeswax to just above body temperature. In a separate bowl, heat the distilled water to just above body temperature and add the borax to the water. When the beeswax has finished melting, very slowly add the water to the oils while blending with an electric mixer on high speed. Continue blending until the mixture becomes lotion. To be sure your lotion won't separate, allow to sit for 12 to 24 hours in the mixing container. Stir. If the lotion has been mixed well, there will be no water separating from the oil. If water drops appear on top of your lotion, mix again until the mixture becomes lotion without water drops. Pour into a 24 ounce wide mouth glass jar.

There are plenty of phthalate-free, paraben-free and mineral oil-free lotions and creams available online and at your local natural store. Many of the available lotions are extremely expensive. I sell a large variety of name-brand natural lotions on the Sunflower Naturals web site that don't increase your risk of skin cancer like Eucerin, Dermabase and Vanicream. However, you can make an extremely luxurious and moisturizing lotion in your kitchen without chemicals, petroleum or high prices.

You can make deeply moisturizing lotions for pennies an ounce. All you have to do is measure, heat and mix. It's incredibly easy! All of the ingredients needed are available in grocery stores and natural stores.

If you have acne-prone skin, add the following essential oils: 5 drops tea tree, 10 drops lemongrass. Add the following nutrients: 10 drops liquid vitamin e, 25 drops liquid zinc.

Please avoid any essential oils that have not been tested for safety while pregnant or nursing. To my knowledge, lavender and chamomile are the only essential oils that have been tested and proven to be safe for use during pregnancy and nursing.

For babies, add 5 drops of lemongrass essential oil.

A great combination to use for a bug repellant is 10 drops of lemongrass essential oil and just one drop of citronella essential oil.

If you have extremely dry skin, you can add the benefits of oats to your lotion. Here's how: Heat the water and add 1 cup of powdered oatmeal to the water. Stir until the water has become milky in appearance. Press the water out of the oats with a fine strainer, such as a coffee filter. Push more water through the oats until you have enough oat water to make the lotion. Use this as the distilled water called for in the recipe.

There are many things you can add to your lotion such as, vitamin e, zinc, aloe, essential oils or even a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Essential oils can be purchased for a low price in the Sunflower Naturals Store. Once you try your natural lotion for the first time, you will notice that your skin is radiant and incredibly moisturized. Since your lotion doesn't contain any alcohols, your skin stays moisturized longer than with conventional lotions.
